CAP PC is one of two regional providers that deliver services for Project TEACH. It serves Regions 1 and 3. CAP PC is a collaboration between five university-based Departments of Psychiatry.
Each of the five university sites has a team of 2-3 child and adolescent psychiatrists, a Liaison Coordinator (LC), and a care coordination assistant. They rotate coverage of the toll-free phone line and participate in the educational programs. All child and adolescent psychiatrists are faculty members at their respective universities. The Liaison Coordinators have at least a Master’s degree in a mental health-related field. When a call comes in to the toll free phone line the LC is the first responder. The LC passes information to a child psychiatrist who returns the call within the next 4 hours. Here is our complete team and the day-by-day schedule for consultation coverage.
